The Hospitainer Surgical Hospital is designed for general surgery and can be rapidly deployed as emergency hospital or, due to its low cost components, as semi-permanent field hospital.
The Hospitainer Mobile Obstetric Care Unit is a 40ft medical container developed to facilitate a more advanced level of obstetric care through surgical interventions. The obstetric care unit is placed on a trailer for maximum mobility.
The Hospitainer Mobile Surgical Unit is developed to facilitate both minor and major surgeries. The surgical unit is a high quality medical solution in a 40ft standard shipping container that consists of an operation room, pre- and post- operation room. All necessary equipment is integrated in the medical structure. The mobility of the surgical unit facilitates flexible health services in situations of abrupt need or in situations of fluctuating health care demand.
The 50 bed mobile hospital is based upon three trucks and trailers. The trailers combined with inflatable tents can be rapidly deployed. The complete setup is self supporting. Diesel generators, water storage and filtration and air conditioning is included. The hospital includes an operating theatre, mobile XRAY, laboratory and wards for up to 50 beds. Also a field kitchen is included.
Two mobile operating theatres are shipped to Syria. The containers are packed with laboratorium, xray equipement and beds for a ward to setup a local hospital. Also medicine and consumables for the first 2000 surgeries are included.
This January Hospitainer helped implement the first mobile hospital project in Congo. The goal of the project is to bring free healthcare services to the people of Brazzaville. A team of Hospitainer provided technical training on location to 15 medical experts.
