Innovative solutions help save lives in humanitarian crises – UN Radio

Innovative solutions to saving lives during emergencies are being highlighted at the first ever United Nations World Humanitarian Summit, currently underway in Istanbul, Turkey.

The UN is describing the summit as a wake-up call for action in the “service of common humanity.”
A record 130 million people globally need some sort of aid to survive.

Simon Postma is a project manager, at a company called Hospitainer which provides mobile clinics in emergency situations. He showed Elena Vapnitchnaia the life-saving product at an innovation fair on the margins of the summit.
